Born on 19 July 1952, Rtn. Kranti Mehta has got a brilliant academic career. Got 4th position in B.Com., 6th in M.Com., both in
Rtn. Kranti Mehta joined Rotary Club of Alwar as Charter Member in 1980. Prior to this, he started Rotaract Club of Alwar as Charter Member in 1971 and remained its member upto 1979 (9 years) and also its President and Secretary. Hence, total association with Rotary and Rotaract is 40 years from 1971 to 2010.
He has held several offices in Rotary Club Alwar and in RI District 3050. In Club, he has been Secretary in 84-85 and President in 98-99. At District level he has been GGR , GSR , Zone Trainer, Asst. Governor in 03-04, Distt. Chairman, Vocational Service in 04-05, Distt. Secretary in 06-07, Distt. Chairman, RI Theme Promotion in 05-06 and 07-08. He was elected District Governor of RID 3050 for 2010-11. Recently in May 2010 he has been unanimously elected Chairman of Rotary News Trust which publishes the RI official monthly magazine �Rotary News� �Rotary Samachar�.
He was Chairman of the memorable Distt. Assembly 'SAHYOG - 2006' organized at Alwar. He was also Chairman of several other Distt. Events like Distt. Membership Seminar in 00-01, Distt. Polio Plus Review Meet in 02-03, Distt. Review Meet 'TAPASYA - 2004', and Multi-Distt. Meet of 5 RI Distt. 3050, 3090, 3010, 3080 and 3110 in 04-05. He has attended 25 Distt. Conferences, 26 Distt. Assemblies, over 120 Intercity Meets and 5 International Events. He has been Speaker several times on different Rotary subjects in Distt. Conferences, Assemblies and Intercity Meets.
After joining Rotaract Club in 1971 at young age of 19 years, a grand ticketed Cultural Night was presented by the talent of Rotaract Club of Alwar for widows of Indo-Pak war in 1972 when Rtn.Kranti Mehta was just 20 years old and was President of Rotaract Club. An amount of Rs.510001- was given to the war widows.
In 2003-04 when Rtn.Kranti Mehta was Assistant Governor of Zone XV, there were 19 Zones and about 124 Clubs in District 3050. During that year, there were new 153 PHFs out of which 52 PHFs (33% of the new PHFs made in the whole District) were given by Rtn.Kranti Mehta from his 7 Clubs in Zone XV. Besides 52 PHFs, one Major Donor, three MPHFs, sale proceeds of TRF tickets for Rs.320001- and Silver Coins for Rs.185828/- were also given by him from his 7 Clubs in Zone XV. Rtn Kranti Mehta himself is a Major Donor by contributing US$ 10000 to Rotary Foundation.
Started Rotary Club of Alwar Fort (2006-07) as GSR and was instrumental in making the newly formed club as the first and the only 100% Diamond Rotarian Club in 2006-07.
He got the prestigious FOUR AVENUES OF SERVICE CITATION received from RI in 05-06. There are several other awards given to him like RI President Citation for Outstanding President 98-99, District Polio Pulse Appreciation Certificate 98-99, Outstanding Assistant Governor Award 03-04, Outstanding Chairman Award for District Review MeettTapasya 03-04, GSR Award for Behror Club 03-04, Bandikui Club 04-05 and Alwar Fort Club 06-07, Outstanding Chairman Award for Multi District Meet 04-05, Outstanding Chairman, Distt. Assembly Sahyog '06 Award, Outstanding District Secretary-RI Presidential Emphasis Award 06-07 etc.
Rtn. Kranti Mehta has shown his leadership and service qualities out of Rotary also. He was President of Tax Bar Association, Alwar from 1997-2004. During these seven years, 3 State Level Tax Seminars were held which were adjudged Best Tax Seminars of Rajasthan. He has been Member of Financial Board of "Tax World" the famous Tax Journal of Rajasthan, Member of Editorial Board of CIRC Newsletter of Central India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is Executive Member, Oswal Jain Shikshan Samiti, Alwar running several Educational Institutions, Member, Mahavir International, Alwar and has been in its Executive several times, Life Trustee, Aacharya Hasti Chikitsalaya, Alwar, Life Trustee, Shri Chandra Prabhu Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Alwar, Life Member, Rajasthan Tax Consultants Association, Life Member, Alwar Branch of Central India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Life Member, Jai Krishna Club, Alwar.
Rtn Kranti Mehta was honoured by Dr. Manmohan Singh, now Prime Minister.of India, the then Finance Minister, Govt. of India during 16th Anniversary of Rotary Club of Alwar in '96 for rendering Excellent Service to the Society, Governor of Rajasthan Shri Anshuman Singh in Birla Auditorium Jaipur in December 'DO, Justice Shivraj V Patil, Chief Justice of Rajasthan in February 'DO, Justice M. G. Mukharjee, Chief Justice of Rajasthan in August '97, the President, All India Federation of Tax Practitioners in Dec. 'DO and Tax Bar Association Bhiwadi in '92.
The father of Rtn. Kranti Mehta was Late Shri Suraj Mal Mehta who was oldest CA of Alwar and he was among first 5000 CAs in India having Membership.No.4388 The elder brother was also CA and younger brother is also CA. The son of elder brother is CA and the daughter of younger brother is also CA.
Rtn. Kranti Mehta besides himself being CA, is father of one son Praphull Mehta and one'daughter Purnima Jain, both of them are CAs. The wife of Praphull Mehta and the husband of Purnima Jain both are also CAs. His wife Smt.Kamala Mehta is very religious and affectionate lady and handles 4-5 CAs in the family. Rtn.Kranti Mehta became 'NANA' and 'DADA' of small grand kids. There might be rare families where there are eight Chartered Accountants in one family over three generations.
Rtn.Kranti Mehta belongs to very religious family. His mother Smt. Prem Kumari Mehta was very simple, sober and pious lady. His youngest brother Sh.Pramod Kumar Mehta who had done B.Com.,LL.B. and CA Inter took Jain Diksha in Dec.l983 at a young age of 24 years and became Shri Pramod Muniji Maharaj Sb.
